Professor Michael Lee, AACSB Accreditation Expert, Visits ZUEL to Guide Accreditation Work

From 23rd to 24th October, 2025, Professor Michael Lee, Distinguished Professor at Fu Jen Catholic University and Wenlan Scholar Chair Professor at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL), visited the university to provide guidance on the AACSB International accreditation work of the School of Business Administration(SBA). During his two-day visit, Professor Michael Lee held five meetings covering key aspects of accreditation preparation, on-site review planning, and talent development.


On the morning of 23rd October, Professor Michael Lee met on campus with Zhu Fangwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of ZUEL, Wu Haitao, Dean of the SBA, Dong Ciwei, Associate Dean, and Wu Yingna, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Accreditation. The discussion focused on the strategic significance of AACSB accreditation and the university’s path toward internationalization. President Zhu emphasized that AACSB accreditation is a vital driver for advancing the university’s global development and academic excellence. Professor Michael Lee highly commended the school’s progress and offered professional recommendations.



In the afternoon, a guidance meeting on AACSB accreditation was held in Room E701, Wenhan Building, attended by all members of the International Accreditation Compliance Group and the AoL Working Group. Professor Michael Lee systematically explained key milestones, preparation priorities, and on-site review strategies, and exchanged ideas with faculty members on refining the self-evaluation report.



Later that day, the school’s leadership team met again with Professor Michael Lee in the same venue to discuss the arrangement of the on-site review schedule, discussion session highlights, and reception logistics, further improving the detailed implementation plan.



On the morning of 24th October, Professor Michael Lee met with students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan in Room E718, Wenhan Building, encouraging them to strengthen cross-cultural communication and AI literacy, embrace change proactively, and align their growth with AACSB’s mission of cultivating globally minded business leaders.




Finally, Professor Michaelm Lee held a working seminar with the Office of International Affairs and Accreditation, providing specific guidance on the self-evaluation report and visit arrangements.


Throughout the two-day intensive program, Professor Michael Lee helped the school clarify its roadmap for AACSB accreditation, refine key priorities, and lay a solid foundation for the on-site review scheduled for May 2026.
